Metadata remover FAQ
What metadata is removed?
All EXIF (camera, lens, settings), IPTC (caption, keywords, copyright), XMP (Adobe edits), GPS (location), thumbnails, and ICC profiles. The output is a clean re-encoded image.
Why strip metadata?
Privacy: GPS reveals location. Camera serial identifies your gear. Software stamps may leak edit history. Some marketplaces also reject incomplete or conflicting metadata.
Will quality drop?
We re-encode at adjustable quality (default 92%). At 90%+ visual loss is negligible. Set lower to shrink size more, higher for archival.
Are files uploaded?
No. Stripping happens in your browser. Photos never leave your device.
Can I batch?
Free tool: 20 files per session. Sign up for free CyberStock credits to batch up to 1000 files at once with one click.
